BFI Film Academy!

If you’re interested in watching, discussing and making films and want to pursue a career in the film and television industry, then the BFI Film Academy is the place to start.

GMAC Film delivers the Glasgow BFI Film Academy in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  Watch this space for future opportunities.

Over the course of 12 weeks, we discuss film theory, learn technical film skills, make a short film and introduce you to industry professionals. After completion, you can apply to The National Film and Television School BFI Easter Academy and have access to an amazing range of exclusive opportunities for BFI Film Academy alumni, including specialist craft residentials and paid internships on film & tv productions.

To qualify for the BFI Film Academy you must be 16 to 19 years old and you cannot be at University. Please read the guidelines before applying.
