Little Pictures Films

The Little Pictures schemes has been running since 2020.  What started as a new and exciting micro-budget commissioning opportunity has quickly become one of Scotland’s leading short film development schemes. Over the past 6 years, Little Pictures has produced over 50 films of all genres – animation, fiction, experimental and documentary. Several films have gone on to exhibit all over the world and have been screened at festivals, cinemas, film clubs, exhibitions and more.

Our aim is to commission stories that are rarely seen on screen. Through this aim, we now have a slate of films that demonstrates bold, fresh and exciting stories that capture Scottish filmmaking talent in all its variety.

Little Pictures is funded by Screen Scotland and is part of its Talent Builder iniative, a programme of six initiatives designed to support Scottish filmmaking talent.

If you’re interested in programming or screening any of our films below, please get in touch at littlepictures@gmacfilm.com.
