Three people talk about hearing – or being overheard by – their neighbours having sex. From growing weary of salacious wake-up calls at 3 a.m, to enjoying the pleasures of a loud shag, these stories open a doorway to the frictions, vulnerabilities, and unexpected discoveries that come with living alongside strangers. In an increasingly atomised world where many of us may not know our neighbours, Eavesdropping playfully investigates a strange yet mundane intimacy that nevertheless leaks from one ‘private’ space to another – reminding us that the walls between us are not just boundaries that separate, but the very site where our lives brush up against one another.
