“I am delighted to announce that we have selected our new CEO to replace me. Euan Platt is going to join us as of 5th September 2022. He is currently working for Young Scot, and has long experience working in the 3rd Sector both here and in Europe. I am truly delighted that we have managed to get such brilliant replacement – I have always maintained that getting someone who is better at the job than you are is the best way forward. There are other changes at GMAC Film, our lovely Anthony and his partner Heather have a beautiful baby daughter Jessica Jacqueline who arrived a bit ahead of schedule, so we are all delighted to congratulate them. The final bit of people news is that Lisa Doherty (Youth Programme Manager) is moving on after three and a quarter years, when she successfully guided her team through the pandemic, ensuring that projects continued to be delivered in a hybrid fashion when covid rules were rigidly in place, as well as encouraging staff and young people to come back in to GMAC as soon as Government guidelines allowed. She will be missed and we wish her all the best for whatever her next venture is.”
