Break Into Film
The BFI Film Academy prepares 16-19-year olds to work in the film and screen industries.
If you are 16-19 years old and passionate about film, this is an opportunity for you to get hands-on experience with likeminded people. You will learn key craft roles from industry mentors including camera, sound recording, production design and editing. You will then become a film production crew, working together in departments to create a short film under industry standard conditions.
The course is perfect for those looking at how to build a career within the film and screen industries. A key part of this personal development includes gaining the NCFE Level 2 qualification ‘Preparing to Work in the Film Industry’, which gives a wealth of insight into the skills required for the industry, as well as outlining key next steps you can take after completion of the course.
The course is also completely free, lunches will be provided and we always have an abundance of snacks on offer! Bursaries are also available for those who require assistance with travel costs.
