Project Partnerships
We are always looking to develop partnerships with educational bodies and create impactful projects. Recent examples include: University of Glasgow – Applied Dissertation in Community and Collaborative Practice. We are currently working in partnership with University of Glasgow to deliver an applied dissertation in community filmmaking.
Kirkintilloch High School – Transitions
We piloted a project with Kirkintilloch High School, in which we delivered filmmaking training to senior pupils, who developed skills in storytelling, camera and editing. Those pupils then used this training to work with primary 7 groups to make short films about their worries of transitioning into high school.
The primary 7 pupils loved the opportunity to work with secondary pupils, asking questions about what it’s really like and what they should expect when they move up. The senior learners were able to develop their social & leadership skills, all essential for their progression into the world of further education or employment.
We are currently developing a further roll out of this opportunity, so if your school would be interested in taking part please get in touch.
CashBack Taster Sessions
As part of our CashBack programme, we can deliver free taster sessions to your students. Tasters are flexible and can work around your needs, ranging from 1-3 hours and offering young people a practical introduction to filmmaking.
Our CashBack programme aims to help young people build **confidence**, develop **technical skills**, collaborate with others, and explore their **creativity** by giving them a voice through filmmaking. This is available if you work with young people, aged 13-25, who may be disengaged in traditional education and would benefit from an opportunity to develop essential life skills through fun practical activity.
Careers Events
We are always keen to speak about the ample opportunities within filmmaking, and the many crafts required to finish a film! So, if you are looking for us to visit a careers fair or speak to your students about progression routes within the industry, we would love to hear from you.
Teacher Training
We are currently developing opportunities to train teachers who may be using film and screen in the classroom. This could be as part of media, the incoming film and screen curriculum or simply just a different way to explore any subject. If you would be interested in this training and CLPL opportunities in the future – please let us know.
