Following the recent Notice to Quit issued to GMAC by City Property, we have been overwhelmed by the messages of solidarity and support we have received from across Scotland’s creative community and beyond.

In response to the many requests for more information, and how to get involved in supporting the campaign for fair treatment, we will be hosting a public meeting at GMAC on Wednesday 18th March at 6.30pm (Doors at 6pm) at our space in Trongate 103.

This meeting will provide an opportunity to:

  • share a clear update on the situation we currently face
  • explain how the Notice to Quit is impacting GMAC’s staff, programme and future and our neighbours at T103
  • outline the strategic steps we are taking in response
  • discuss where support from our community may be most effective

The meeting is open to GMAC alumni, partners, artists, industry colleagues, community members and anyone who cares about the future of cultural space in Glasgow.

We anticipate a strong turnout and will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible within the health and safety capacity of our space. For this reason, we ask that people register in advance.

As part of documenting the response from the sector and wider community, we will also be capturing short video vox pops and interviews on the night. These will help us document the importance of GMAC and Trongate 103 to the community and sector. If you would be willing to contribute a short filmed comment, you can let us know in advance when registering your attendance or by emailing us on hello@gmacfilm.com..
